The Concept Finally - a piano created without compromise to incorporate the best of both the acoustic and digital worlds. Our hand crafted acoustic piano, built with the finest traditional materials, allows you, at the flick of a pedal, to block the hammers from hitting the strings and to turn on a state of the art stereo sound generator that will digitally reproduce your performance and transmit it to you through stereo headphones. This will allow you to confidently practice in total privacy, without fear of disturbing either the neighbours, the rest of the family or a fellow student, or being disturbed by them. Whilst the two headphone sockets will allow your teacher, friend or parent to listen in when required, or to play a duet with you. |

The Touch Incorporating the most sophisticated optical fibre key sensor system yet developed, which measures each key separately at four different points, without interfering at all with the feel of the keyboard, our Silent piano registers every detail of your playing in its digital anode. Whilst our precision engineered real piano action gives you a sensitivity of touch and a control to your performance that is unequalled by any standard digital piano. The Sound We have not compromised on the sound quality either. We chose our best selling K116 series of acoustic pianos (the same as chosen by Daniel Barenboim for the Paris Opera House), which has its own rich dynamic sound, and incorporated an electronic piano tone generator. The AWM stereo sampled piano voice is based on the real sound of a concert grand piano from the world's leading grand piano manufacturer and offers 16 note stereo polyphony (32 in mono). The Performance The acoustic piano offers you an instrument with a beauty and naturalness of sound that digital pianos can only attempt to replicate. In the digital mode you can control the reverb to provide you with a selection of venues for your performance, ranging from a room up to a choice of two concert halls and avoiding the "dead" feel so common with electronic instruments. Whereas, if you wish to give a live performance you can play it all through your own hi-fi system. |
