The CC 208 Art Grand

In its high-gloss finish, with its bright, cheerful colors, the instrument stands on its clownesque legs. The glass sculptures on its topstick and its top shimmer mysteriously. "Where this grand stands, no other can stand." With the magic that it emanates and the secrets that it conceals, this instrument is a unique work of art, bearing the names of Otmar Alt and Nikolaus W. Schimmel.

Since each glass sculpture is individually hand crafted and unique, the forms and colors will vary slightly from instrument to instrument. The color motifs are embedded in the coats of high-gloss lacquer. With the motifs in white, slight differences in color are possible and intended.

The beautiful, full, round tone typical of Schimmel pianos is, of course, a characteristic of the instruments enchanted by the artistic fantasy of Otmar Alt. Hidden inside are precision hand craftsmanship, state-of-the-art technology and three generations of family piano-manufacturing tradition spanning over a century.
